About Us
Direct Personnel was established in Dublin in 1994 to provide quality recruitment solutions to the aviation industry. But the story actually begins before then!
John Reidy an Irish National, and former executive with Guinness Peat Aviation, met his Dutch business partner Mieke Bougie while overseeing an operation owned by GPA in the Netherlands. Both executives went on to establish the well known company Airflow International, (later to become Direct Airflow) and this is where the Direct Aviation story begins.
While establishing this company in the Netherlands and working with their client airlines, they saw an opportunity in the market and responded to their clients needs for quality recruitment services and Direct Personnel was born.
Also set up two years later in the Netherlands was Direct Maintenance, a quality line maintenance provider based in Amsterdam and Nuth. The dedicated team secured EASA Part-145 line maintenance approval for the B767/747-2/300/B747-400/A320/A330/DC-10 and MD11 aircraft. Direct Maintenance now has successful line stations in Amsterdam, Mombassa, Zanzibar, Benghazi and Tripoli serving many client airlines and is in the process of setting up stations at other points around the Globe.
All three companies, Direct Airflow, Direct Maintenance and Direct Personnel make up the Direct Aviation Group of companies (www.directaviation.aero) based in the Netherlands.
